Police won’t give same focus to my husband’s murder as that of backpacker Inga, says widow

The mob howls for blood.

At Saturday’s Irish referendum results’ announcement in Dublin Castle, Sinn Féin’s Mary-Lou McDonald and Michelle O’Neill held up a sign saying: “The North is next”.

For many of us, there was a stirring of memories of a time when IRA men have muttered those words to their next intended ‘victim’. “You’re next”!

What McDonald and O’Neill, these two highly lacquered and varnished harpies, female exponents of murdering unwanted babies, are indicating is that the position on abortion that is law in Northern Ireland will be targeted by them and their allies in the “killing babies coalition.” Read more

The abortion referendum in the republic of Ireland: ‘INFANTICIDE ENDORSED’

A ‘Belfast Newsletter’ editorial on May 26th, the day following the “YES” vote in the referendum on the repeal of the eighth amendment of the Irish Constitution which limits the circumstances under which an abortion may take place, contained the following statements.

“We are going to have to give the matter a lot of thought in Northern Ireland too. As with many issues, from hospital rationalisation to public sector reform to social matters, Stormont fears hard choices.

The limited push for abortion reform in the last assembly struck me as one that ducked the point: the emphasis was on victims of rape or families dealing with fatal foetal abnormality. But these tragic cases are a tiny fraction of abortions.

The real debate is over abortion on demand, which has barely been discussed at Stormont. Read more

Irish Referendum decision is a grave threat to the unborn child in Northern Ireland.

Statement from Jim Wells MLA.

‘The outcome of the referendum on the 8th Amendment in the Irish Republic is an extremely worrying development for the protection of the unborn child in Northern Ireland’.

‘Not only has the Republic voted to allow what will be effectively abortion on demand, the size of the Yes majority will give TDs and Senators a mandate to introduce wide ranging, liberal legislation’.

‘It is inevitable that the abortion industry based in Great Britain will set up clinics in border towns and promote their services to Northern Ireland women. It will be much easier to terminate a child’s life if this can be done at a clinic in Dundalk or Letterkenny rather than flying to London or Manchester’.

‘Verified research has shown that the impediment of the Irish Sea has encouraged pregnant women to think again and as a result 100,000 lives have been saved in Northern Ireland’.

‘The referendum decision will mean that Northern Ireland and Malta will remain the only parts of Europe where the unborn child will have a high level of protection’.

‘The ray of hope is that our neighbours in County Donegal voted to protect the unborn child’.

‘Whilst deeply disappointed by yesterday’s vote the Pro Life movement must now redouble its efforts to prevent any change in law in Northern Ireland. I remain totally pledged to all that I can to help them achieve this’.

Pope to grant indulgences at Dublin World Meeting of Families

“To attain a plenary indulgence Catholics must also attend confession, receive Communion, pray for the Pope’s intentions and have a heart free of sin.”

PROTEST AGAINST THE DESECRATION OF THE LORD’S DAY,

Report from Rev Paul Hanna

We had a mighty open-air service today at the Mt Merrion entrance of the Kingspan Ulster Rugby stadium.

We were joined by over 30 willing participants from many of our churches from near and far including Revs P. Foster, B. McClung, D. McLaughlin and myself from the Belfast Churches.

We assembled directly opposite the main entrance where we’d a great opportunity to present Christ to the multitudes of people as they passed by.

The couple of thousand special tracts (commissioned by the Government and morals committee for the occasion) were almost entirely used up, and it has to be said afterwards that not one was seen (by this preacher) discarded on the ground.

All four ministers took part, each bringing a short word in the Gospel with much bright singing as well (musical accompaniment provided by one of our very capable College students).

Many thanks to those who supported us in any way.

Some pictures from the protest are below.

Letters to the Editor of the Belfast Newsletter regarding the proposed visit of the Pope to N. Ireland

The following is in response to Rev. Foster’s original letter.

Ben Lowry got a good roasting from the Rev Ivan Foster (Ret), along with His Holiness, Pope Francis, in the News Letter (‘Lowry saying NI should welcome Pope is example of ignorance of Rome’s teachings,’ May 7).

The Rev Foster writes: “…Ben Lowry believes we should all welcome to Northern Ireland (is) one who exceeds all other deceivers. He (Pope Francis) claims to be God on earth!” and “Mr Lowry’s stance is an indication of the gross ignorance that exists on the historic position of the Reformed Church on the teachings of Rome.”

Letter to the Deputy Editor, Belfast Newsletter

Sir,

Ben Lowry, Deputy Editor of the Belfast Newsletter, could not be more wrong when he argues that the so-called ‘Protestant’ church leaders are right in saying that the pope should come to Northern Ireland. (Newsletter, Saturday 5th May.)

How can such men be right when they deny the Bible and the historic doctrines of their respective denominations?

Mr Lowry further argues that because “almost everybody of note ultimately comes to Northern Ireland at some point in their life, from Chinese or American or European leaders, to sports and music stars and business and religious leaders, including the Dalai Lama.” Read more

Protestant church leaders urge Pope Francis to come north

Such urgings by these men show just how far these three denominations have moved from the Bible and from the fundamentals of their own creeds. Just how do they explain this shift in their theological position in the light of the revelation of God’s immutability in such verses as: “But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end,” Psalm 102:27. “For I am the LORD, I change not,” Malachi 3:6.  “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever,” Hebrews 13:8. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning,” James 1:17.

Modern, mainline denominations have removed themselves far from the unchanging and unchangeable TRUTH of God and are part of the end-time apostasy foretold in God’s Word.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils,” 1 Timothy 4:1.

Backlash against Varadkar as he ‘waltzes’ into NI

ROMISH HOODWINKING AND EPISCOPALIAN HYPOCRISY

“First ever beatification in Ireland to take place next month”. So ran the headline in ‘The Irish Times’ newspaper on Monday 17th April 2018.

The article not only highlighted the folly of Rome and her “saint-making’, but it revealed the Bible-denying apostasy of the Episcopalian Church of Ireland!

The article begins by stating: “The late Jesuit priest Fr John Sullivan, who was raised a Protestant, is to be declared “blessed” at a ceremony which will be attended by both the Church of Ireland and Catholic Archbishops of Dublin. In a year which also marks the Reformation’s 500th anniversary, it is the first ever beatification in Ireland – a major step on the path to sainthood – and will also involve Cardinal Angelo Amato, prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints. The event will take place on May 13th at the Jesuit’s St Francis Xavier Church on Dublin’s Gardiner Street, a short distance from Eccles Street where Fr Sullivan was born in 1861.” Read more

Two wanted men beaten with iron bars by a gang in south Armagh before being covered in paint

‘Up to 100’ witnessed Mullaghbawn vigilante attack

Those attacked were paedophiles! Those involved in the attack were most likely Sinn Feiners for there are few else living in south Armagh! They were therefore supporters of same sex-marriage and the ongoing plan by the Irish Republic’s government to bring in much more liberal ‘abortion’ laws.

They are just like the lawless men of Sodom long ago!

“And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door,” Genesis 19:9.

“Are we nearing the end of the age and how close is Christ’s return?”

By Rev Ivan Foster

When considering such a question as this, we must carefully bear in mind the words of the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Setting a date upon the Lord’s return is utter folly in the light of these words and even more so in the light of Mark 13:32. “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”

There are those who use this verse in Mark 13 as an argument against the study of prophecy since, they claim, even the Lord Jesus does not know the day of His return. Therefore it is useless for us to search the Scriptures for indications of when He will return, since He would not have been able to give us such information!

To me, such a notion that the verse is teaching that Christ is in ignorance of the day of His return is quite ludicrous and contrary to, indeed it is nothing short of a denial of, the truth regarding the deity and the Godhead of Christ. Read more…

Australians vote in favour of legalising same-sex marriage

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. The web of lies that entangles Ulster

“No lie is of the truth,” I John 2:21.

The synopsis of a sermon preached in Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church on Sabbath evening, September 11th, 1994, By Rev Ivan Foster

(A warning issued 23 years ago of the deceit and lies at work on the subject of ‘peace’ in Ulster!!)

There are times when the finger must be pointed and the lie exposed. The cause of truth in a time of deception demands that a most vigorous witness be maintained. When there is a babble of voices proclaiming the lie the servant of God must be all the more strident in order to ensure that his voice rises above the lie. We live in just such a day. The fabric of national life is riddled with the woodworm of deception and falsehood. Politics, religion, business, every strata of the nation’s affairs is corrupted by untruths. A great deception is being wrought especially upon the Ulster people in the realm of religion and the constitutional future of our province. Read more…or click here to listen.

New Stormont battle as DUP calls for imminent move to direct rule

Sinn Fein’s present strategy is not the re-establishing of power-sharing at Stormont but the introducing of some form of ‘joint rule’ by London and Dublin.

They seek to create a crisis by ever stymieing the ‘Stormont talks’ with the DUP and from the sidelines, calling  for Dublin and London to intervene in concert and replace Stormont Rule.

Sinn Fein has ever sought to undermine Northern Ireland’s Union with Great Britain and this was the reason behind their push for ‘power-sharing’ in 2006 at which the DUP, in its greed for power, jumped. Now power-sharing has run its course so Sinn Fein is presently pushing for a further step in its long term plan to destroy Northern Ireland but now by creating a further crisis.  Because their 30-years of terrorist tactics failed and ‘power-sharing’ did not produce the fruits that Republicans hoped it would, the latest objective is joint Dublin-London rule, a short step from a Dublin take-over. Read more

DUP’s Donaldson appears to welcome possible Pope visit to Northern Ireland: I don’t think the Protestant community reaction would be negative

The DUP is setting out the ‘Welcome Mat’ for the pope. Changed days indeed and not for the better!

Mr Donaldson’s Church Confession states: “There is no other head of the Church, but the Lord Jesus Christ; nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself, in the Church. against Christ and all that is called God.” (WCF chapter 25:Paragraph 6.)

How can he welcome one such as is described here. Read the Belfast Telegraph report here.

The Vision of the Sins of the Rulers of Jerusalem

(Ezekiel 11 – 14)

A message preached by Dr John Douglas at the Sovereign Grace Advent Testimony afternoon meeting of its Spring Conference, April 28th, 2017.

The chapters chosen for our subject are plainly instructive and carry words particularly pertinent to the age in which we live. Yet Ezekiel is a prophecy avoided by all too many of God’s people who feel these visions and these prophecies are beyond them. We do well to remember Romans 15:4, ‘Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning… ’ Here are words we ought to keep in mind because the Lord says them. While the verse is in the New Testament, the reference is primarily to that which is written in the Old Testament. We are talking about things written specifically for our learning. When you think of that instruction in terms of Ezekiel, it is amazing. The Lord had us in mind in the writing of these chapters in Ezekiel. We can each look at chapters 11 and 12 etc. and say, Here are chapters of the Word of God given for my own edification. Read more

Jim Allister: SF wants Irish language legislation that opens the way to endless legal challenges

Mr Allister emphasises a very important point regarding the Sinn Fein’s demand for an ‘Irish Language Act’.

Readers should understand that in Northern Ireland the Irish Language is taught in every Roman Catholic controlled school and that by public funding. In fact teachers’ wages, building costs and all school supplies have been provided out of public funding for over 50 years, something that does not happen for Protestant schools such as our own here in Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church. We must finance ALL our expenses. As well as this, there are 29 fully funded ‘Irish-medium’ schools in Northern Ireland. Such favourable financial provision is totally beyond the reach of the Protestant population.

Only Rome would have the brass neck to continue whining and bleating about discrimination and demanding more, of what others never had, in such circumstances!

They are indeed like the crocodile – insatiable!!!! Read more….

Number of Catholics living in Ireland falling, Census data reveals

The number of Roman Catholics in the Republic of Ireland has dropped over the last 5 years by 132,220 while the number of those who said that they had no religion rose to 481,388, over twice that recorded in the census 5 years previously.

I have no doubt that this is the harvest of the awful scandals within the Roman Catholic Church. Read more

Christian Companionship

“I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts,” Psalm 119:63.

A study based upon a sermon preached at the morning meeting in Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church, 2nd September 1990, by Rev Ivan Foster.

This section of the psalm (verses 57-64) is headed by the Hebrew letter ‘Cheth’. It refers to a ‘fence’ or ‘an allotted portion’. Job 1:8-10 illustrates this. “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land,” Job 1:8-10. The word ‘hedge’ is translated ‘fenced’ in Job 10:11. Read more
