The New Golden Boys in the Military

written by Lt. Colonel John Lewis Cook, USA (ret.)

Just when you think the Obama administration cannot possibly engage in any more stupid, embarrassing episodes, you suddenly discover that you are wrong. This administration’s capacity for insanity appears to be limitless. The latest example of this occurred on Tuesday when the Pentagon hosted something called the Second Annual Gay Appreciation Day. Pope Francis shows his true colours

By Richard Bennet.

Pope Francis’s performances and writings give a picture of a man that is two-faced. To build a public image for himself, Bergoglio, once elected, chose the name Pope Francis in honor of St Francis of Assisi. St Francis was known to be a softhearted lover of nature; thus, Pope Francis adroitly implied that he would be similarly unassuming, kind, and harmless. Then following his election, he paid his own hotel bill for his stay during the enclave. He then took up residence, not in the usual papal apartments, but rather in a smaller more humble suite. On the other hand, from his first speech and subsequent presentations, he has shown himself as a totalitarian dictator. Thus, as the media and many ecumenical Evangelicals fawn over Pope Francis, it is necessary to biblically analyze his speeches and performances. The mind boggling conclusions are documented in the attached article. Read more

Will we never learn?

As one who has vivid memories of the Terence O’Neill campaign against Bible Protestantism in the early and mid-60s, I see much that is reminiscent of that time of betrayal, which was seeded by the foolish notions of the ecumenical church leaders back then. Read more

When lightning flashes this is not what you want to see!

This is a picture that someone took who works on an oil rig. He was going to take a picture of the lightning and was unaware of the tornado until the lightning illuminated it.

This picture, sent to me by my friend Ralph Ovadal, is a wonderful illustration of the great mercy of God to careless unthinking sinners.

This lightning flash is so like that flash of divine light which shows the sinner the danger he faces, the danger he was utterly unaware of until that light from heaven shone down and in a moment informed him of that which the witness of friends had been unable to get across.

What a difference 25 years make!!!

Stealing away our children“How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!” 2 Samuel 1:27.

The following article – “Stealing away our children” – was produced by the Presbytery Education Board and circulated amongst Free Presbyterians some 25 years ago. The government proposals it exposed were greatly stymied and resisted so that they never truly got off the ground as it was hoped, chiefly because they were opposed in the educational and political arena by Free Presbyterians loyal to the teaching of the Word of God. However, those very proposals form the bedrock of what it is that the Democratic Unionist Party has now embraced and which it would have Ulster Protestant parents adopt with open arms. Read more

When Elijah comes

“Elias Truly Shall First Come” (Matthew 17:11). Thus spake Immanuel, the Greatest of all the Prophets, reminding us of the certainty that Elijah shall come again to the earth before the Lord returns in glory. Few realise the wondrous fact that Elijah is coming in the weakness of the flesh, though with super-natural powers, to testify to the truth of thee Scriptures in the last days. The coming of Elijah is mentioned several times in the Scriptures. In Malachi we find the plain and clear statement that Elijah shall come before the Lord Jesus is revealed in judgment (Malachi 4:5). The disciples believed, though they did not then fully understand this Scripture. Therefore they were perplexed, and asked the Lord, in effect, “As Thou art the Christ, why has not Elijah first come?” They were not then able to distinguish clearly between the first and second comings of the Lord. I dare call it murder

“Today, a group of Free Presbyterians supported a protest organised by the Government & Morals Committee of the Presbytery against the recent opening of the Marie Stopes abortion clinic. The opening of the clinic is seen by many in Northern Ireland as an attempt to subvert the law on abortion in Northern Ireland and introduce “abortion on demand”.

In 1984, Rev Ivan Foster, Free Presbyterian minister in Kilskeery and member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for Fermanagh & South Tyrone, introduced a motion in the Assembly which read: ‘I propose: That this Assembly opposes the extension of the Abortion Act 1967, or any like legislation, to Northern Ireland.’

The motion was supported and passed. Only one member of the Assembly voted against it. He was Alliance member for East Belfast, Mr. Addie Morrow, Alliance politician.

What was said by Rev Foster in opposition to abortion in 1984 is still relevant over 28 years later. Read the speech, “I dare call it murder”, here.

Ruled over by those who hate us

I was caused to think on these things by the ongoing controversy surrounding proposals for the future of education in Northern Ireland. The proposals come from the DUP/SF power-sharing camp. It would be most surprising, indeed impossible, for anything to come from such a political alliance which was truly for the good of the Protestant people of Ulster. Sinn Fein might rightly be termed those who have “hated” the Protestant majority in Ulster. They proved their hatred in the past by mounting a 30-year terror campaign in which they slaughtered hundreds of innocent Protestant people and many, many Roman Catholics whom they deemed to have gotten in their way. The Westminster divines and the Millennial Reign of Christ

The story is told of a minister who sought to engage his esteemed colleague Dr William Cunningham [1805-1861] in conversation about the Premillennial return of Christ to this earth. Seeking to obtain from Dr. Cunningham a verdict on what he thought of these end time views he received an interesting reply. Dr Cunningham said that: He saw nothing to alarm or repel in views which were entertained by some of the soundest among the Westminster divines, but that, for himself, he had not as yet had leisure to look into the matter.

Here is undeniable evidence that there were amongst the Westminster Divines those who were pre-millennial, post-tribulationists – something denied by opponents of this Bible truth. [This information is taken from Page 23 of the preface containing a biographical sketch that is at the front of William Cunningham’s volume of Sermons from 1828-1860.]

Dr William Twisse, a premillennialist, was Prolocutor of the Westminster Assembly until his death.

Free Presbyterian ministers denounce attendance at Roman Catholic Mass

TWO senior Free Presbyterian ministers have accused Peter Robinson and Tom Elliott of “idolatry” for attending the funeral mass of Constable Ronan Kerr…more

Minister criticises Mass attendance

(The text of an article published by the Lurgan Mail)

The decision by unionist politicians to attend the funeral mass of murdered police officer Ronan Kerr has been criticized by a Lurgan Minister.

Lurgan Free Presbyterian Minister Rev David Crease said if First Minister Peter Robinson and UUP leader Tom Elliot were true Christians they would come to regret what they had done.

Rev. Creane was outspoken in his criticism of both party leaders when addressing his congregation from the pulpit at the Free Presbyterian Church on Banbridge Road on Sunday. When contacted by the “MAIL” regarding the comments he made Rev. Creane said: “The sight of Protestant Church leaders, politicians and Orangemen standing shoulder to shoulder with IRA/Sinn Fein at the requiem mass in Beragh last week was deeply saddening. Evangelical Protestants should not attend the Roman Catholic mass under any circumstances. It is much more important to be faithful to God and His truth that to court the popularity of fellow human beings. The issues are so serious that evangelicals should never be anywhere near the sacrifice of the mass. To do so is to dishonor God and the sacrifice of Christ at Calvary. Surely it a case of obeying God rather than men. It is claimed by Rome that during the mass the bread and wine are changed by the power of the priest at the moment of consecration into the actual body, blood and soul and divinity of Christ. The doctrine of transubstantiation strikes at the very heart of the gospel.”

He added: “ If we love the Lord Jesus Christ and are trusting alone in His finished work on the cross and looking forward to His coming again, then we must reject the Mass and refuse to be present when it is celebrated. While it is right to reach out to those who grieve, the Bible tells us that true Christian charity ‘rejoice not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth.’ Love for and loyalty to our blessed Saviour must take priority. If Peter Robinson and Tom Elliot were true Christians they will come to regret what they have done.”

The true nature of the Mass

No-one who knows the gospel of Christ as revealed in Scripture and also knows what the Roman Catholic Mass is, can countenance the blasphemous claims of the Church of Rome.

Only ignorance of one or the other could permit a professing Christian to attend such an abomination. The professing Christian, who faced with the truth about the Mass, persists in attending it, calls into serious question the reality of their profession of faith.

That professing Christians are again in this day showing alarming tendencies to attend the Mass and justify such attendance, only demonstrates the ignorance that is descending upon the Church of Christ and the unconscionable failure of preachers whose calling it is to expound the true nature of the gospel and warn faithfully against all error.

“The Hurt of hearing the Mass”

by John Bradford, English martyr (1510-1555).

Rev Brian McClung has compiled a timely synopsis of one of the last articles written by John Bradford as he awaited his burning at the stake in 1555 for standing up for the truths of the gospel and refusing to bow before Popish terror tactics.

The synopsis complements Rev McClung’s recent article on the attendance at the Mass by Mr Peter Robinson, leader of the Democratic Unionist Party. It also presents a challenge to those who were strangely unwilling to comment on Mr Robinson’s action even though in the past they were noted for their vociferous reactions to the attendance of Protestant leaders, both political and religious, at the Mass.

In addition, it shows the folly of the Orange Order’s decision not to act against those members who breached its rules on attendance at the Mass and the acquiescence of its members in such a decision and also those within its ranks who have called for a removal of such rules.

This synopsis should particularly be studied by those foolish Free Presbyterians who, contrary to God’s Word and the witness and testimony of their own denomination, seek to defend Peter Robinson’s attendance at the Mass.

Dear Christian, please read this warning that comes to us from the condemned cell of one of the greatest of the English Reformers and Martyrs.

More important to honour the memory of Jesus Christ than honouring the memory of anyone else.

It is being reported that Peter Robinson is going to attend the funeral of murdered Roman Catholic police officer Ronan Kerr. This means that he is going to attend the Roman Catholic Mass. Back in the month of February this year Peter Robinson indicated that he would do this. Click here to read the full article…
