“Are we nearing the end of the age and how close is Christ’s return?”

When considering such a question as this, we must carefully bear in mind the words of the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Setting a date upon the Lord’s return is utter folly in the light of these words and even more so in the light of Mark 13:32. “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”

There are those who use this verse in Mark 13 as an argument against the study of prophecy since, they claim, even the Lord Jesus does not know the day of His return. Therefore it is useless for us to search the Scriptures for indications of when He will return, since He would not have been able to give us such information!

To me, such a notion that the verse is teaching that Christ is in ignorance of the day of His return is quite ludicrous and contrary to, indeed it is nothing short of a denial of, the truth regarding the deity and the Godhead of Christ. Read more…

New Stormont battle as DUP calls for imminent move to direct rule

Sinn Fein’s present strategy is not the re-establishing of power-sharing at Stormont but the introducing of some form of ‘joint rule’ by London and Dublin.

They seek to create a crisis by ever stymieing the ‘Stormont talks’ with the DUP and from the sidelines, calling  for Dublin and London to intervene in concert and replace Stormont Rule.

Sinn Fein has ever sought to undermine Northern Ireland’s Union with Great Britain and this was the reason behind their push for ‘power-sharing’ in 2006 at which the DUP, in its greed for power, jumped. Isle of Wight MP steps down after ‘gay danger remark’

Mr Andrew Turner, a Conservative party MP, is absolutely correct in what he said but such is the power of the sodomite lobby and the willingness of society to accede to its howls that his comment is treated with the opprobrium in keeping with the condemnation directed at a Hitler!

Mr Turner is reported as having said at a college in Newport that “homosexuality is wrong and dangerous to society”. For this he has been attacked by sodomites and their supporters. Mr Turner is reported as having said that what he said was “to do with religious opinion”.

Such an opinion is not acceptable in today’s society. The Conservative leader of the Isle of Wight Council, said: “It is very disappointing to hear such comments from someone I know and it is a shame for him to end to his career in this way, but what he said was unacceptable.”

The Isle of Wight ‘Pride’ sodomite group said: “Any person who makes such a statement in a public forum as our MP is dangerous.” Read more

(Liberal Democrat leader) Tim Farron: I do not think being gay is a sin

This is what unrestrained political ambition will do to one professing to be a Christian! The desire for votes, at any cost, coupled with pressure from party gurus, will see the professing Christian abandon the Word of God on virtually any subject.

Having waffled on the subject when first asked about sodomy, Tim Farron succumbed to political pressure and declared that sodomy is not a sin.
That is not what God’s Word says.

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them,” Leviticus 20:13.

During the period of Israel’s living under God’s moral and civil law, sodomy was a capitol offence. It is still condemned by the moral law.

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

There is no place in heaven for a sodomite. So says the Word of God. BUT, there is deliverance from such a sin.

“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God,” 1 Corinthians 6:11.

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit and cleansing in the atoning blood of Christ delivers a person and they put away such wickedness. This was the experience of some believers in ancient Corinth.

We have had our “Tim Farrons” here in Northern Ireland over the last 10 years who have abandoned their former moral views for the sake of political advancement and, sadly, it is likely we will see more of it very soon.

Such fears, sadly, have a very good basis! The DUP’s weakening position on sodomy has been evident for some time, especially back in November 2016 when the party and indeed all of the MLAs in the Stormont Assembly debate, with the exception of Mr Jim Allister QC, supported the posthumous pardon of those found guilty of what was a criminal act before sodomy was legalised. This was a significant abandoning of ‘the strong Christian values’ the party is supposed to uphold!

The proud arrogance of Rome knows no limits and this is a story which illustrates that very clearly.

Roman Catholicism in Ireland has been proved guilty of the vilest abuse of innocent children and that over decades – indeed it is most likely that the wickedness has stretched back over centuries!

Following the public exposure of her crimes by brave victims who were put through even more torment when they had to confront publicly their torturers in order to break down the repeated denials of the priests and nuns, the world was treated to a display of ‘sorrowful handwringing’ of which only Rome’s representatives are capable. But it was just that- a shameful and sham display!

This article reveals in detail that one of the “orders” found guilty of cruel torture “owes the State a substantial sum of money” as part of a redress scheme set up to compensate victims abused in Catholic-run institutions.

That exposes the total lack of genuineness in the ‘sorrow’ so expressed in a wonderful imitation of ‘Uriah Heep’!

But notice the compliance of the Dublin Government in this affair.

What words of condemnation were uttered in the Dublin parliament by various Government ministers as the disclosures of the dreadful cases of cruelty and immorality were exposed by government-run enquiries! But what were those words worth when the present Dublin Government is prepared to enter a partnership with one of the guilty agencies that was exposed and which still has not acted to compensate its victims?

Our Unionist fathers saw Dublin rule was equivalent to ‘Rome Rule”!! They were right.

Over 100 years have passed since that challenge and definition of Romanism by our fathers but it is still true.

Rome still rules Dublin politics and this sordid deal underlines this dark truth.

‘Absolute disgrace’: Tim Farron (Lib Dem leader) under fire for refusing to answer when asked if being gay is a sin

This is what time-serving politicians, who profess to be Christians, do!

On this occasion the criticism comes from the sodomite lobby who would want Mr Farron to deny God’s Word.

We saw the same spirit at work here in Ulster when the DUP endorsed posthumous pardons for those guilty of sodomy in the past.

Many of those who refused to call this abomination a sin because their party demanded it were professing Christians, some even elders in God’s house.

There is little hope for a land when its Christians politicians are ashamed of God’s Holy Law and are prepared to defy the Lord, support the party that was allied to terrorism and acquiesce to the opinions of perverted lobbyists, in order to please its party mandarins!

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes,” Psalm 118:8-9.
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help,” Psalm 146:3.

These words of the Psalmist give us guidance and direction as to how we should vote in the forthcoming election!!

Lord Tebbit: McGuinness prosecution was dropped to keep peace talks going

The much vaunted “Peace Process” was, like the alleged ‘change’ in McGuinness, a sham.

Despite the daily ‘white-washing’ of the period subsequent to the Good Friday Agreement by pundits and Government agents in the media, terrorism, murder and gangsterism amongst McGuinness’s IRA cohorts continued. The whole charade was a wicked deceit perpetrated upon the Ulster people.

No process, based upon such a shameless betrayal of truth and justice, could ever bring good to a country.

The endorsement of the Good Friday Agreement and the later slightly revised St Andrews Agreement by many deceived Unionists, at the prompting of their leaders, has brought about the catastrophic situation Ulster finds itself in today.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting,” Galatians 6:7-8.

Nationalists complain of lack of respect in Northern Ireland

Sinn Fein is making much of the allegation that little respect is paid to them and their culture in Northern Ireland. That, like most of their utterances, is a lie.

They have received support for their propaganda from the former deputy leader of the SDLP, Seamus Mallon. He is quoted in the Irish News of 21st January 2017.

“Martin McGuinness is not the only nationalist deputy first minister to have experienced a lack of respect from their unionist counterpart in office, as Seamus Mallon can testify. Mallon, who went into the first partnership devolved government with former Ulster Unionist Party leader David Trimble in July 1998 as DFM, says he received almost daily snubs from the then first minister and his office.”

Respect works both ways! The Bible says: “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly,” Proverbs 18:24. A commentator said of these words: “Friendship ought to be mutual and reciprocal, as between David and Jonathan; a man that receives friendship ought to return it, or otherwise he is guilty of great ingratitude.” Read more


The Retirement of Martin McGuinness

A chance to re-write history and white-wash a villain!

It has long been the ambition and the goal of Sinn Fein/IRA to rewrite the history of Northern Ireland as far as the activities of the IRA are concerned.

They have ever tried to exonerate themselves by seeking to justify their terrorist war by alleging that such was the treatment of Roman Catholics in the years between 1921 and the beginning of their terrorism in 1968, that Irish Republicans had no option but to engage in the war of terror that they inflicted on the people of Northern Ireland, Protestant and Roman Catholic.

Unfortunately for them, the majority of Roman Catholics did not see things their way. It was only after they ceased their overt terrorism that political support for Sinn Fein grew and they nudged out the more democratic Nationalist party that is the Social Democratic and Labour Party, from being the biggest nationalist party. Read more

In introducing the ‘Newsletter’ article let me state some truths I have often set forth over the last 40-odd years.

The party constantly calling for inquiries into the shooting of IRA men by the army and police is itself most guilty of covering up multiple murders and other acts of terrorism in which its members were involved.

One of those acts is the Teebane massacre of eight Protestant workmen at a crossroads on the main Omagh to Cookstown road. It happened 25 years ago on 17th January 1992.

No one has ever been prosecuted for the crime and yet without a shadow of a doubt Sinn Fein leaders know who was involved and equally without a doubt is that those involved in the murders were Sinn Fein party members!

Yet the party screaming for “justice” for IRA men shot while engaged in terrorism remain resolutely tight-lipped about those involved in this massacre from within their own membership! Read more


Family’s fury that Conor Murphy may replace McGuinness

The anger of the parents of a young Roman Catholic from the IRA stronghold of Cullyhanna in South Armagh is understandable.

But so too should be the anger of the many Unionists who have had loved ones murdered by the IRA, during the many years of that evil organisation’s terrorist campaign at the prospect of ANY MEMBER OF SINN FEIN HOLDING HIGH OFFICE IN OUR PROVINCE!

Sympathy is rightly shown to this one family, but there is less of a hearing given to the many hundreds of families who have to suffer the same shameful exacerbation of their grief by having to listen to the almost daily pontifications of representatives of the organisation which has the blood of their loved one on its garments. The Quinn family complain justifiably about Sinn Fein’s Conor Murphy “not doing more to help identify their son’s killers.”  What of those whose complaint is that the Sinn Fein spokesman IS THEIR LOVED ONE’S KILLER!!!

There is TRUE comfort for the Christian in the doctrine of the judgment of God. In a comment on the Third Commandment, the Shorter Catechism states: “However the breakers of this commandment may escape punishment from men, yet the Lord our God will not suffer them to escape His righteous judgment.” That is true of all breaches of God’s commandments, especially the 6th which says: “Thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20).
There really is no hope of the many murders, irrespective of who committed them, ever being addressed here in Ulster.

But those who believe the Bible know with assurance that they will be addressed and that most terribly in that day “of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries,” Hebrews 10:27! Read more

Not that I haven’t frequently been angry about the appalling treatment of the RUC, but Dr William Matchett’s account of the exceptional contribution of Special Branch throughout “an irregular war” to saving lives, defeating the IRA and making a political settlement possible brought so much back to the forefront of my memory. Read more
