Rearing and educating children

“For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knoweth because his sons made themselves vile and he restrained them not,” 1 Samuel 3:13.
(The synopsis of a sermon preached in Faith Free Presbyterian Church,Greenville, South Carolina, USA, on 28th October 1993.)

I know the subject that has been given to me is rather general but I want to, as it were, be a little bit more particular and speak on this general subject but applying it to that which faces us as parents in these days.

I was thinking coming to the meeting that really my wife should be here to speak on this subject. She has many years of experience as a teacher and as a principal in our Christian school. She had a number of years of experience in a state school before that. And I suppose even more important she is the mother of six children and that I’m sure, by way of experience, has eclipsed all the years in schools of every description. And I suppose you can even add to that she’s had to look after me and perhaps that has eclipsed it all. Read more

An old battle, an old enemy, old tactics, and old weapons!!

“Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred; therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them,” Ezekiel 25:15-17.

The weapons of war that men employ have changed radically over the years. Those ready to be employed by nations today are beyond what men could have imagined a generation ago!
However, there is a war that has been ongoing since the beginning of this world and earlier still, which is executed with the same weapons and tactics with which it began! Read more

“It was general wickedness not gay sex alone which killed off Sodom city”.

This was the title of a letter that appeared in the ‘Belfast Newsletter’ of May 23rd from one, ‘Colin Nevin’. Read it here.

I felt compelled to write a reply to what he said for he seemed to be suggesting that perhaps ’sodomy’ is not the awful sin that some make it out to be! Below is my submitted response.

Sir,
In today’s edition, your correspondent Colin Nevin, who (I presume it was he who added the addendum) informs your readers that having lived in Israel he had a knowledge of Hebrew.

An answer to Atheist Alex Kane

Alex Kane is an openly avowed atheist. He does not believe in the existence of God – at present. There is a time coming all too soon for him when he will believe that there is a God and that He is indeed the God revealed in the Bible!

However, at present he plays the fool of which David speaks in Psalm 14:1. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.”

Classified as such by the Word of God, one cannot expect too much sense out of him.

He wrote an article in the Belfast Newsletter of Monday 13th May, 2019, headlined: DUP seems to be preparing to face down the Free Presbyterians.

Personally, if that headlines means what I think it means, the ‘facing down’ cannot come quickly enough for me! Ever since the DUP entered power-sharing with unrepentant murderers and their political fellow-travellers, I have prayed that every Free Presbyterian would realise that they can have no part with such an ungodly political party as the DUP. Read more

Reply to ecumenical letter-writers

As one of the usual ‘Easter’ unity events, Roman Catholic and Church of Ireland ecumenists in the Castlewellan area had what has become an annual march.

Free Presbyterian ministers in the area wrote to ’The Mourne Observer’ and protested at the anti-Bible nature of the event.

The protest was reported in the ‘Belfast Telegraph’’ – read the report here.
The letter of protest led to a number of reactions from ecumenists to which this letter is the final response by Rev Daniel Henderson on behalf of the local Free Presbyterian ministers.

It is refreshing to read of the spirit of protest that is still alive in the Mournes! Read more

Are Free Presbyterians wrong when they support a party which fields a sodomite candidate?

or

Is political activity exempt from the rule of God’s Law?

An earnest appeal to all ministers, elders and members of the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster.

No sin, of itself, goes away, nor is spiritual wholeness restored by natural volition!

Like a disease, untreated sin will only become worse until spiritual, even physical death ensues. There is evidence of this in the church at Corinth which had departed from uprightness and propriety to indulge in sinful practices. “But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep,” 1 Corinthians 11:28-30. Read more

The day Ulster changed unutterably

Perhaps I should have entitled this articled: The Day Ulster WAS SEEN To have Changed Unutterably!

The change has been developing for quite some time, just like the spirit of Antichristianity. “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth (holds back, detains) will let, until he be taken out of the way,” 2 Thessalonians 2:7.

I believe its first manifestations can be traced to the day in 2007 when there was an endorsing by a sizeable section of the Protestant people of Ulster of ‘terrorist murderers in government’!

I read this morning in my daily reading the first chapter of Isaiah, verse 9, where it is stated by the prophet in a day of backsliding and departure from God: “Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.”
How applicable is that verse to the cause of God in Ulster this sad and tragic morning!

There is much rejoicing in the camps of the major political parties here in Northern Ireland. Especially it is so in the Democratic Unionist camp. The newspapers and television internet sites are adorned profusely with rejoicing politicians embracing, shaking hands and mouths wide open in exorbitant delirium!

There are also many pictures of Christians congratulating each other on success at the polls. Read more

Paul Girvan MP endorses sodomite candidate

I was sent the image below from DUP MP, Mr Paul Girvan’s Facebook page.

How sad to see such a ringing endorsement of a sodomite from professing Christians for many in the DUP share in Mr Girvan’s folly.

This must bring Heaven’s response to that which God calls an ‘abomination’! Christians cannot defy God with impunity!

When being vexed is not enough

“And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)” 2 Peter 2:5-8.

Recent events in Ulster, when the hierarchy of the Democratic Unionists Party took it upon themselves to sanction a sodomite standing as a candidate for that party in the local government elections, has been a grief and a vexation to many Christians, including some within the the DUP.

Sadly, it would appear that we cannot say ‘all’ Christians within the DUP for some seem very capable of hiding that grief and giving no outward appearance of sorrow at the actions of their party leaders.

However, there comes a time when being ‘vexed’ is not enough! Vexation must be manifested. Read more

DUP sinks still further with lesbian council candidate

This an excellent article which highlights the sad decline of the DUP from its first policies and practice. We commend it to our readers.

There have been recent reports in the press in which some Free Presbyterian DUP members have sought to say that there has been no change in DUP policy.

It just cannot be denied that it is NOW that party’s policy to select and sanction a sodomite candidate, spending members’ money to have her elected, claiming that she is an ‘excellent candidate’ and that their supporters should vote for her!

Those who would deny the truth of these statements are acting as the proverbial ostrich and but showing themselves up as ‘defenders of the indefensible’!!!”

A statement by the Presbytery officers on our Church’s position on marriage

This is a statement formulated by the officers of Presbytery in the light of what is currently taking place in the Province in terms of the increasing promotion of sodomy. It is our intention to release this statement to the press. Please pray that it will be used by the Lord.

The Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster unreservedly subscribes to the fundamental principle that God’s infallible Word is the final authority on all matters of faith and practice. Accordingly, the Free Presbyterian Church publicly re-emphasises its purpose to uphold the clear revelation of Scripture that marriage is a covenant and conjugal union between a man and a woman, (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-5). As Christ’s teaching in this Matthew 19 passage reveals, this divine injunction of marriage between male and female is binding upon all of mankind throughout all time.  The injunction is designed to provide the only framework within which stable family life can exist. Consequently, the pathway to the improvement of society is found in adherence to the Biblical principle of marriage. “Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people,” (Proverbs 14:34).

In keeping with this clear Biblical teaching and authority, the Free Presbyterian Church underlines its opposition to all marital and sexual relationships outside the covenant of Biblical marriage. Scripture clearly reveals that such marital and sexual relationships are sinful and will prohibit entrance into the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 – “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators…nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind…shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

Therefore, as a Church we are saddened by the attempts of political parties to normalise and promote marital and sexual relationships that are in contravention of the clear teaching of Scripture. We would remind political leaders that they are subject to God’s moral law and should endeavour to honour it, keeping in mind that one day all men will give an account of themselves to God (Romans 14:12). We would also put on record the Biblical reminder that only through repentance from such sin and by faith in Christ alone will forgiveness and acceptance with God be obtained (1 Corinthians 6:11).

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them,” 2 Timothy 3:12-14.

What brainless nitwit issued such a gormless and ludicrous statement as this!!!?? It reveals the depraved idiocy of the IRA!!

How unimaginably true are these words in a manner unintended by this woman. She, like her dead companion, is part of that community who utterly reject the Word of God regarding their lifestyle. Presbyterian minister new leader of ecumenical den of iniquity, Corrymeela

This article from the “Protestant Revival” website on the subject of the Corrymeela Community needs to be considered alongside an article we wrote back in 2015 when Free Presbyterian Elder, Mervyn Storey wished this iniquitous venture ‘well’ when he met with the sodomite Romanist who led it.

The Christian’s confidence

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,” Philippians 1:6.

From this verse I would like to set before you some considerations suggested by what it is Paul wrote.

The word ‘confident’ used by Paul is a very strong word. It speaks of a very strong and firm persuasion. It was an unshakeable assurance. Thus Paul speaks of the Christian grace evident in the lives of the Philippians. What he remembers of them utterly convinces him of their conversion to Christ through faith in the gospel message. Read more

The true character of the ‘sainted’ Lyra McKee

I was sent a link to a video recording of Lyra McKee going on about that which was the chief purpose of her life, defending and advancing that which God calls an ‘abomination’ and utterly repudiates in the inspired writing of the apostle Paul in Romans 1:16-32.
I give that link at the end of this article and I would ask readers to listen at least from 9 minutes in until the end.

McKee claims that she met a ‘Free Presbyterian’ mother, a church attender, in a ‘gay bar’ where the mother was accompanying her sodomite son in order to support him.

Now, as one who experienced the blessings of the years of what was revival blessing in the 60s and 70s and who still believes in the standards embraced by that generation of Free Presbyterians, I find it hard, indeed almost impossible to believe that a mother who is in truth a ‘Free Presbyterian Church attender’ could be guilty of such conduct as is here alleged. Read more

Rev. Foster responds to DUP’s endorsement of a Sodomite candidate for Council election

Alison Bennington

Sir,

It is with sadness and many misgivings that I note that the DUP have endorsed a candidate, one Alison Bennington, who defies the laws of God and nature and openly proclaims herself ‘gay’ or to use the Biblical term, a Sodomite!

It is clear that the DUP has now utterly repudiated its founding principles and that in order to win over a small section of voters, whose support no God-fearing person would wish to have.

In order to obtain such support, the DUP is prepared to abandon abandon God and His obedient people in order to get the support of those abandoned by God!!

Church of Ireland prayer event in Papist monastery in ‘Relentless’ march to Rome

Canon Jim Carson

A Church of Ireland prayer event has been hosted in Clonard Monastery in west Belfast.

Just take a moment to think about that.

‘Grave sucking’ and dead raising – Journey Community Church hosts ‘supernatural’ Bethel movement

John Ashe, Journey Community Church

The Bethel Ministries megachurch, based in Redding, California, is well known for its outrageous antics and Christ defying behaviour.

From promoting extra-biblical revelation to attempting to raise people from the dead, it really doesn’t take much discernment to know this church is filled to the brim with heresy.

Then there is the falling gold dust and feathers which appear at their meetings, apparently sent by God, as He often did that in the Bible. Oh no wait, He didn’t.

A “glory cloud” also apparently appears at meetings, similar to the pillar of cloud that guided Moses and the children of Israel. One would imagine they would deny a smoke machine is in any way utilised at meetings. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion, Psalm 2:1-6.

Will Methodist ministers stand up against transgender uniforms at Methody College?

Rev David Campton, Methodist minister and board member of Methody College

Now the battle over sodomy is more or less won by the Christ deniers in the western world, the next battleground they have turned their attention to is transgenderism.

As was the case with sodomy, nothing but total surrender to the transgender cause will do, and all must fall before this sacred sow of secularism. If you don’t believe that’s how such servants of the devil operate, just look at the abuse received by anti-abortion and anti-sodomy sections of Northern Irish society for holding back the tide of depravity attempting to sweep through our land.

The same spirit as that highlighted in Habakkuk 2:5 is evident here. It says: “Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people”. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

The sad ignorance that abounds in the ranks of professing Protestants!!

“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness,” Ephesians 4:17-19.

Just a few days ago, I received an email from a lady who had taken umbrage at my criticism of an Irish Presbyterian minister in an article I wrote back in February 2016.

55th anniversary of my conversion.

Friday 5th of April is the 55th anniversary of my conversion. I found this recording of me giving my testimony in Mountain View Bible Bible Church, Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA, on 12th April 1992.

I was asked to give my testimony and also to speak of affairs in Northern Ireland.

What I had to say back then reflects the views and hopes we entertained for Ulster before the sad events that surrounded the tragic political events of the DUP entering power-sharing with Sinn Fein/IRA in 2007.

I trust the Lord will bless the witness to all who listen to this message which has been played and downloaded 1000s of times when it was available on SermonAudio.

Sincerely in Christ,

Ivan Foster.

Archeology bears testimony to the accuracy of the Bible!

The Christian does not require the endorsement of archeology in order to believe the Bible! We say with the Psalmist: “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever,” Psalm 119:160.

Of course we welcome the testimony of the past emerging to declare the truth of God’s Word and trust that the unbeliever will take note. What the Saviour says in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus must however, be noted. “If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead,” Luke 16:31. Read more

Peter Lynas and Evangelical Alliance join forces with Jesuit promoter Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson

Psalm 66:18 tells us that “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”.

And surely such a peril lies before those organisers of the prayer event held at the gates of Stormont, the would-be seat of power in Northern Ireland, were we not held to ransom by murderers and their apologists, on Sunday past, 24 March.

The event was organised by 24-7 Prayer Ireland, which is an ungodly organisation in the first place.

It is headed up by Alain Emerson (pictured on the right of the image at the top of this article), lead pastor of the anti-Christian charismatic Emmanuel Church, based in the Craigavon area.

Alain Emerson’s ecumenical rap sheet is so long it would make your eyes water, hence his richly deserved moniker of Alain ‘Ecumenical’ Emerson. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

Belfast Church of Ireland hosts ABBA tribute concert

In today’s liberal church, there seems to be little separation between the sacred and the secular.

Lines have been blurred to such an extent in many churches that it is hard to tell the difference.

And St Polycarp’s Church of Ireland, based on the Upper Lisburn Road in Finaghy in the outskirts of Belfast have trampled all over those lines by hosting an ABBA tribute concert.

This church used worldly music to try to lure in the punters, although it is hardly surprising to see unbiblical methods employed when one is aware of some details regarding the church.

Firstly, the ‘minister’ of the church is a woman called ‘Rev’ Louise Stewart (pictured on the left of the image at the top), meaning both the church and its ‘minister’ are automatically setting themselves at variance with the Word of God. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

“EUTHANASIA” — Is it really a ‘good’ death??”

The issue of ‘assisted suicide’ is ever more in the news. An article appeared in a religious publication recently which read:

“Some doctors in the United Kingdom are pushing back against efforts to gain support for legalizing assisted suicide.

An article in the The Times highlights how some members of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) fear that the organization is being hijacked by assisted suicide activists.

The RCP is asking its members if they think British law should be altered in order to allow assisted suicide. If a majority of 60 percent or more votes one way or another, the college will issue an official stance accordingly. But if there is no clear winner, the RCP will adopt a neutral stance on the issue.

“The poll will be conducted by email,” the RCP website explains, “and the results will be released in March.”

Some physicians are casting doubt on the way the poll is set up, claiming that even a neutral stance on assisted suicide would still be a tacit endorsement. In a letter to The Times, about two dozen medical professionals stated, “We are worried that this move represents a deliberate attempt by a minority … to drop the college’s opposition to assisted suicide even if the majority of the membership vote to maintain it.” is in the news afresh though it seems every day we read of suicides and those planning to end their own lives.”

The reason for the increase of suicides and the altering opinions of doctors is the growing ignorance of the Bible and the lack of any fear of eternal judgment as a consequence!

If people only knew that there is a hell for those who die without Christ, then suicide would not appear such a wonderful way of escape as the devil has deceived millions into believing.

Presbyterian ‘minister’ preaching at Romanist novena celebrating group of priests

‘Rev’ Ruth Patterson will be preaching at the ‘Novena of Hope 2019’ at The Graan, a Romanist chapel near Enniskillen in County Fermanagh which, for a long time, has been the clerical home of noted Romanist, ‘Father’ Brian d’Arcy.

It is being held to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Romanist grouping of the Passionists.

A novena is a nine day prayer event and this one will run from Saturday, 23 March to Monday, 1 April, with ‘Rev’ Ruth Patterson to sow her ecumenical, heretical seeds of deceit on Thursday, 27 March. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

Report of the Free Presbyterian Protest in Newry, Co. Down, against the evil play,“ Jesus Christ — Superstar.”

By Rev Paul Hanna, Mt Merrion FPC, one of the ministers who organised the protest

Around 6:30pm on the cold, brisk evening of Thursday 14th March 2019, a crowd of concerned Free Presbyterians started to gather outside the front of Newry Town Hall.

The planned production of the blasphemous Rock Opera, ‘Jesus Christ – Superstar’ had been running in the 19th Century picturesque Town Hall (situated in the centre of the Newry – and actually built on top of Newry River) since Tuesday 12th, and was scheduled to run until Friday 15th March.

Around 45 – 50 Free Presbyterians of all ages, including four ministers from local Churches, gathered on the footpath opposite the main entrance where we mounted our hour-long vigil. Read more

THE FOOTSTEPS OF PATRICK

A brief account of the work of God in Ireland over the last 1500 years

by Rev. Ivan Foster.

The Gospel of Christ came to Ireland over 1500 years ago. Despite many attempts by Satan and his agents God has been pleased to maintain His truth in this land. Following its first planting the Gospel was carried by men whose hearts the Lord had touched into many neighbouring countries: Scotland, England, Wales, France, Germany, Switzerland and further.

God has been pleased, in some measure, to do again in these latter days what He did in those distant days. May the land, now associated with terror and strife, become known again by the title it was then given, “The land of Saints and Scholars.” Read more

A little bit of Irish history to clear away the mists of popish myths and deceit about Patrick

A knowledge of the history of Ireland is a very beneficial and
precious thing. History displays the merciful dealings of God with our forefathers.

Such a knowledge will do much to expose the lie of Rome that has bred the spirit of Irish nationalism, based upon the myth of a pure Irish race that has ever been fervently Roman Catholic. It will go far toward removing the feeling of insecurity, and of guiltiness at being in Ulster, that many Ulster Protestants suffer from as a result of Rome’s persistent lie. Read more

“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness,” Isaiah 59:1-3.

It is clear that it takes years of campaigning by a handful of pro-Unionist groups, with very little support from the news media, to get anyone to notice!!!

The Ongoing Challenge Facing the Free Presbyterian Church

“And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you,” Judges 2:1-3.

(The synopsis of a sermon preached in Rasharkin Free Presbyterian Church by Rev Ivan Foster, 9th November 1990)

At a time when peace in the community and how best to achieve it are topics on virtually everyone’s lips, and that for a generation or more, it is all too easy for the child of God to forget the war that Christians are duty-bound to maintain. Everyone is for, must be for, peace in these days. So say the false and apostate religious leaders. Consequently, anyone or anything whose language or teaching seems to show any form of militancy must be opposed as evil.

Espousal of Bible Christianity is utterly impossible without a marked degree of contentiousness. That is why the historic creeds and confessions of the Church of Christ contain such vigorous denunciations of the sins of their age. The difficulties attending a faithful adherence to God’s Word in an unfaithful age are exemplified in the life of Jeremiah. “Woe is me, my mother, thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me,”  Jeremiah 15:10. The recent appointment of Cahal Daly to the position of cardinal was heralded by a chorus of syrupy and fawning approval from the leaders of ecumenical Protestantism. His appointment met with ‘widespread approval’ according to the Belfast Newsletter. Archbishop Eames of the Church of Ireland is quoted as saying ‘I have been privileged to know Dr Daly for many years and I have the highest regard and respect for his intellectual gifts, his courage and his integrity.’ Read more

Laugh yourself to heaven at Newtownbreda Baptist Church / Comedy Club

In this modernistic, liberal age, many forms of worldly entertainment have been brought in to try to attract a crowd.

These can be quite successful (though that is absolutely no excuse for employing them), as the popularity of churches like the Vineyard and various community / fellowship type churches has proven.

Mostly, it entails the introduction of worldly music with a thin veneer of Christianity from the worship bands.

However, a far more offensive to God form of worldly entertainment was brought into a Baptist church in Belfast on Sunday, 10th February.

For Newtownbreda Baptist Church brought in a stand-up comedian to take their Sunday night service two Lord’s days ago.

Yes, you are reading that correctly, this is not a joke – Newtownbreda Baptist Church became Newtownbreda Comedy Club for the night as a stand-up comic took the platform in this most modern, trendy, hipster of Baptist churches. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

‘Who cares if you’re Protestant or Catholic? Rome is an inspiration’, says Arch-apostate of Canterbury

In a shocking rejection of the precious gospel heritage the entire UK is blessed to have, when asked his opinion on Church of England vicars switching to Rome, the following is what this reprobate had to say:

“Who cares? I don’t mind about all that. Particularly if people go to Rome, which is such a source of inspiration.

“I had an email from a very old friend, an Anglican priest who has decided to go to Rome. I wrote back saying: ‘how wonderful! As long as you are following your vocation, you are following Christ’. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

‘If hell exists, it is empty’ – disgraceful claim of Presbyterian minister Rev Ernie Rea

In an interview with the Belfast Telegraph in the latest of the weekly feature on religious figures from Northern Ireland, Rev Ernie Rea propagated his heretical views on hell.

When asked if he had any fears about hell, he said: “If Hell exists, it is empty. A loving God could not condemn one of his children to everlasting fire.”

This statement is so spiritually misleading and theologically heretical that it is truly a disgrace.

One must wonder if he has ever actually read the Bible. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

East Belfast Mission and Rev Andrew Irvine give themselves over to Rome

A former big shot on Belfast City Council, Rev Andrew Irvine has been brought on board at the East Belfast Mission to help boost its income.

And on Wednesday, 23 January, Rev Andrew Irvine engaged in his mean ecumenical compromise by preaching at a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service in a Romanist chapel in Lurgan in County Armagh.

Rev Andrew Irvine was the speaker in the service in St Paul’s Roman Catholic church in the town.

How exactly such compromise can be justified is frankly remarkable. Read more on the Protestant Revival website.

“And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation,” Exodus 34:5-7.

The Bible-Believer’s response to the deepening apostasy

The synopsis of a sermon preached by Rev. Ivan Foster at a “Christian Watch” meeting in St John’s Wood Baptist church, London on Saturday 20th September 2003. It would appear from Ezekiel chapter 8: 1, that a conference of sorts had been convened in Ezekiel’s home. “And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.” Read more….

So-called ‘evangelical’ Bishop Harold Miller promotes unity with Rome

Every year in the latter part of January, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes centre stage in many of the ecumenical churches, and 2019 was no different.

Indeed, it was the subject of one of the first posts mounted on this page last year and, sadly, once again this year we have the sad duty of documenting the wretched compromise carried out in the name of ‘unity’ in many of the churches up and down our land.

We are aware of at least eight ecumenical events which took place in Northern Ireland throughout the week, though it is more than likely there were more. Read more
